Wont Start?

Well, ive got a 1.6 2004 clio right and today ive been fitting a dvd/cd player. Spent about 1hr 30 mins and probably turned the ignation on and off about 10 times.

When i finished it all, i tried to start my car to go out with my mates and it wont start?

If tried but if didnt spark if you get me.

We thought the battery was dead so tried to bump it. Nothing happend.
So we got some jump leads. Nothing changed. Still wouldn't start.

Its like something has been disconnected but i havnt really been over near any of the 'engine' plugs, only behind the CD player, and under the back seat for the earth cable.

I was just wondering if this sorta problem has happend to anyone of you fellow posters, and if you knew how to resolve the problem?

Many Thanks,
Cheers, Sam!

crank sensor??
usually the one,
however cant see how it wud have come out,
you checked all the fuses??
cud be a fuse to the feul pump or sumink similar

Go over all the wiring again to make sure that the dvd player isn't on a permanent live. If it is, make it a switched live.

Put the battery on charge, then try it. It was probably too flat to jump start it (it does happen)

Wont Start / Part 2

Hi. i posted last night that my car would not start and ive had my step dad round and he said that there is no fuel getting into the engine so its sparking nothing?

Is there a fuel pump reset or somthing?

or does anyone know anything else that could be stopping the fuel from coming through ?

Cheers, Sam!

Does the fuel pump prime when you turn the ignition on? You will hear a buzz from underneath the car if it does.

If it's the TDC (crank sensor) and you need to get a new one they are around £40 with the little wiring bit from Renault.

Happened to me a few months ago, just wouldn't start one day and a little warning light came on.
