Won't Start...

Hi,


I'll get right to the point, my car won't start.

• I turn the key to start it and it clicks once and nothing happens. Does not even turn over.
• Does not seem to be the battery, Cd player lights and wipers all work totally fine.
• The red immobiliser light does go off.
• I can 'bump start' the car easily. Then it runs totally perfect untill I turn it off again

I've been told starter motor, I've tried hitting it, rocking it in gear, dissconnecting and reconnecting the battery. All have had no effect.

Any ideas?

sounds like starter motor buddy i had exactly the same on a friends 1.2 clio

As above, sounds like starter motor if you can't hear it turning. Potentially its not getting power, got a multi meter?

im going to say battery, mine did this cd player was wipers lights but would not start. battery didnt have the power to turn over the starter motor, got a new battery started first time.

was yours the same then wilson? turn the key nothing but a click?
