WONT START

HELLO EVERYONE I HAVE NOTICED A FEW PEOPLE HAVE HAD PROBS WITH STARTING THERE CLIOS .IHAVE A 172 2002 WHICH WILL NOT START FIRST TIME IN THE MORNING HAS ANY ONE FOUND A CURE. I HAVE HAD A NEW FUEL PUMP AND NEW ENGINE CODE PUT IN BUT NO LUCK. RENAULT UK SAY THEY HAVE NOT COME ACROSS THIS PROB BEFORE. GOES BACK IN WEDNESDAY.

Mine is the same with the warmer weather. It either starts first time and has an eratic idle, revving itself gently!!! or it starts second time and seems fine. It only seems to have these problems when its warm, its fine when its hot or cold.

mine used to do it ALL the time, they replaced a sensor on the flyweel, and for a while it was perfect, but now it just does it occassionally, just one of those Renault traits i guess.

My 172 was in the garage last for the same problem and they said it was the key not reading the ignition chip,so they re-chipped the key and guess what still same problem so back in this week will mention the sensor hopefully this will solve it....

I had this issue last year with renault who told me there were problems with 172 batterys(limited batch)and they replaced it straight away
