Woopdy Woop - finally got my Cup and I love it!!!

  Titanium 182
Too true, it had to be done for this reason alone, felt silly being a rep in a 1.2 shouting "wait for me" LOL.

Ah but is it as fast as a phquick ;)

You've got me and Tom to contend with ! not to mention Bens Scharged 172 lol. :rasp:

Nice. I wonder how long it is until "I can't afford petrol for my sport" pops up in meet threads ;)

Oh and Aluco, Garforth is fine.

TBH Gaz this has been a long well thought out purchase, Ive made sure Im not skinting myself buying it.

Ive already started budgeting tax, petrol, repairs etc

Except the cambelt and the tax it doesn't cost much more than a non sport clio to run imo.

Maybe a bit more insurance if your young and thats it.

Agreed.
Insurance was paid up front so dont have that worry about for 12 months and it has 12 months MOT and 6 months tax plus I have just paid off £12k worth of debt that I will no longer have to pay for every month ;)

My ph1 eats fuel, dunno my 182 was much more frugal. :S oh well I get like 220 miles to a full tank haha ! I got 330 in my 182.

Garforth sucks, totally the wrong side of Leeds ;)

Nice car laura. Late 2003 model too like mine. Wait til the snow has gone and then thrash the nuts off it. Dont change gear til the shift light has been on for a second. ;) it will fly for you. Just watch 1st gear tho, bit snappy.
Going to need a show your 172 cup thread for mod ideas :)

how long before the ive crashed the cup/cant afford to run the cup/selling the cup thread?

thats not a shift light its an over revving light, optimum time to change gear is just before that light comes on

Think its the same thing.
Mine has a picture of a gear stick when it lights up. And when you have these mapped they up your rev limit so it must be safe :)

I should blow it up oneday then. Lol. :) I tend to over rev most of my cars. Long as you change oil regular its ok.

Jesus I have been looking on this site past two months and cant believe how some people love to jump on something someone says. I not picking a fight. So come on guys ignore my silly comment and get back on topic ;) we are not all know it all's. I seem to get the best out of mine however I drive it. Good cars these clio's aint they :)

  BG 182 FF
looks great, really like cups.
Birchdown is worth the long trip imo for the cambelt.
Who did you get your insurance with? :)

  late 2003 172cup
Not saying I am right either laura ;) thats what I thought it was. I have been member on here for a while and with many other club's. I just look on here for ideas mostly and help with prob's I may have :) my car 2 month ago was a 260 horse 2003 astra gsi turbo. I did 30k in it with that horse power and when I did boot it, it got redlined. I sold it with 62k on the clock and was still on standard turbo without a drop of blue smoke. Plenty of oil changes every 3k helped prolong the life of it I found. But thats my opinion whether its right or wrong.

Still happy tho. Again nice example of a cup. Just enjoy it however you drive :)

  Mondeo TDCI 130
Just noticed on FB so did some searching!!!! Mint that is! Get a splitter on etc and it's done! :)

Honestly, whatever anyone says, you will have do do a hell of a lot to make that car any better than it goes as it is!!! Been and done it all! lol.

Good Luck!xx

FLOL @ people going on about missing stickers when they are actually still there!!

Nice upgrade. Enjoy it.
