Work Phones?

Morning all,

My phone at work is knackered and needs replaced. Can anyone recomend a good cordless phone for under 50? Thing is it has to be able to conect to the works phone system (Where you press 9 for an outside line)

My knowledge is limited, do all phones have this ability or is it only certain types of phones?

I think its how you phone line is programmed with regards to dialing 9 for an outside line.

Ive plugged a few in over the years and they just work.

Yeah you need to find out what switch system you are using, then you can find out which phones will be compatable

why isnt your admin buying you one

We have the BT Versatility V8 Featurephones at work. Not cordless though but are very good.

Yeah why do you have to buy a work phone?

Depends on your telephone system, is it digital or analogue, maybe IP?

Cheers for the replys, think to make things simple I'll just get the same phone but a new one.

Another question: Another department need a phone that can be put on silent and a light just flashes saying theres a call (For a beauty treament room) anyone know of one that fits the bill?

ps: My work are not that good with getting things you need so its up to me to clear pety cash out to buy things. I don't mind doing it in reality because atleast I know im getting to pick and don't get given some 4th hand cord phone that's no use.
