Working out my Clio's top speed

If my car was going 110mph (gps verified) in 5th gear at 5100rpm - how fast would it be travelling in 5th gear would the top speed be when it hits the limiter at 6500rpm??

Not a clue but why don't you just find out by getting to the limiter? I've had 235 KM/H which is roughly 147 MPH. Sure its good for another few MPH...i ran out of motorway (i mean runway).

I somehow find 147mph optimistic for Maxx's 1.4

I`ve taken mine to 145 b4 now but didn`t look at the revs (Nic actually told me how fast we were going lol)

I will never have enough space to get it to the limiter - btw its a 1.2

So you got your car to go 8MPH faster than factory figures which tend to be theoretical rather than proven!?!?!

^^^^^ hahah had mine up on the 140 limit for about 3 miles around that runway which runs around london called runway 25 but to be honest reckon it was doing about 135

Yeah it seems the higher up the speedo the further it is out. The RS`s don`t seem too bad I think at 100 indicated it is about 98 so not too far off. My m8s Golf Mk5 GTi read 140 when mine read 130 and we were going the same speed lol!
