Worms HD available on Xbox Live Arcade

looks like worms 2 in my opinion, probably the best worms game ever. may have to check this out

Great stuff, can't wait :)

South Park ? Does this mean we are finally getting some entertainment stuff ?? America has everything dont they :(

I registered for a US account last week but didn't bother to download much as the connection speed was terrible.

Is there much free stuff thats worth doing it for ? I presume Lost and all that is costing money :dapprove: I heard that was available in HD through xbl

The majority of downloads are chargeable so that's mainly why I didn't bother. The only free downloads I could see were for trailers.

Thats garbage isn't it :dapprove: There's probably a good way of watching them all free via some hackage, but I havn't seen anything yet. I watch some stuff via WMP11 > 360, but the quality isn't exactly DVD or HD like

how do you signup for a US account? they get lots of free gamerpics/themes that we dont see in the UK

Sign up for a US Hotmail account and then register a new account on your 360 using American details and your new Hotmail email address.

If your computer is powerful enough you can download HD torrents and watch them on your xbox using TVersity. Stops you being locked to Microsofts format.

Originally South Park wasn't to be available to us, but they changed that in the end.

I played a bit of Worms a couple of months back. I'll probably download it later to for some online multiplayer.

Played a bit of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (arcade version) and Castlevania the other day on 360. I'll probably get Castlevania once that's out.

The crazy golf game that's going to be out at some point is fun too so I'll most likely get that.

I've been using Tversity with mine, excellent bit of software.

That Tversity looks great, but I think my P2.4 with 512mb ram will probably chug away and die lol :dapprove:

Is there any good transcoding software out there to easily make these WMV-HD files or whatever format is best ?

To be honest i've yet to see anything on the 360 that has looked immense in HD video

My old home PC is only an Athlon XP 3000 with 1.5gb RAM. That manages just about, but I can't see it being able to do it with any true HD stuff. Copies of Lost and Heroes are fine though. Saves me cutting them to CD/DVD.

Ah cool mate, so you reckon the 400-800mb files should be worth a crack then :)

I'm sick of encoding them to standard wmv to watch them on my 360, makes the quality crap too !

ps. I forgot to watch Heroes, so i've got 2 in a row to watch.... you're jealous, I know it :D

You should be okay. You can always change the compression options. I've got mine set to run at the highest image quality setting, which means it has to work that bit harder so it kills my PC while it's running. You can always lower that a little so it doesn't do such a good job. The image quality would suffer though.

Dam, you've got the two best Epsiodes of the series to watch if it's 17 and 18.

Yeah mate 17 & 18 to watch when I get this thing working, woop :D

How long does yours take to kick in, I presume I have to disconnect from my usual share, and reconnect to this TVersity share from my 360, I did that (I don't read instructions lol). I connected to the Heroes episode and it just hung for a couple of mins, does it take a while to start ? I just restarted the TVersity server as it looked like it wasn't going anywhere.

I've got WMP 11 so I didn't bother with any other codecs

Check what's running on your PC in Task Manager and then kill any WMP services, they stop Tversity working. I'd been using that to share mine out originally so had something like wmpnetwk.exe running. Rather than mess with the setup of WMP 11 I just kill that service when I want to run Tversity.

Then as you say, it takes a minute or so before it gets going. It has to get slightly ahead of itself before it starts to stream. The lower the spec of the PC the longer it will take.

On the 360 just disconnect and reconnect to the Tversity share.

Yeah I reckon you are right, that WMPNetwk.exe keeps restarting itself all the time, and nothing much is working :D

I was hoping this was going to be nice and easy lol

Edit. Update, for some reason, one of those Matrovsky files (can't be arsed checking the spelling lol) played kind of, although quality was terrible, maybe it's a codec thing, how weird !

i use tversity and its runs awsome, takes on average about 10 secs to start, only annoying thing is you cannot rewind or fastforward. Plus the processor on the pc gets pretty noisy, comp still runs fine tho.

i gotta get worms sounds wicked!
