Worth doing anything to my car?

Car  1.5 dCi 80 - 3Dr
Just wanted a general opinion, my car now has done over 90k miles, was hoping at looking at making her a bit nicer to look at, and possibly add a power box? but is it worth it on such high mileage?

You're better off having a one off remap mate, As for the mileage I wouldnt worry, the dci's normally go on for ever aslong as they're looked after.

I guess it all depends on how much longer you want to keep it for, I wouldn't mod it too much, if you maintain it well it will go on for many more miles, but do you also have upgrading your car in mind somewhere?

That's music to my ears.
to be fair, she need's a good service.
i know how to drive a car, but got no idea about modifying or proper maintenance.
but, i'm buying all the gear etc, for a service on friday.

Not looking to get rid of it anytime soon, as it's so cheap on tax and fuel, compared to other car's i've owned, and still has a lot of humph for a small engine!

Ah
probably keep it standard, and just modify the look (tastefully) tho.

getting some new black alloys, and lowering :)

 90k! It's barely even run in man! My car's done 128k and I've just had it resprayed and I'm dropping a 2 litre turbo lump in it

It's a modern diseasel, just keep it serviced & it'll run forever

If you intend to keep it a long while go for it, nothing wrong with making it a bit nicer :approve: who says cheap & cheerful has to look horrible?

In the same conditions they will return slightly more mpg once mapped. But booting it everywhere will return less than standard mpg

Ah so maybe that box, or a remap will be alright?
It depends on what mood i'm in as to if i boot it.

Thing is, booting a diesel, will still get you more mpg than a petrol ha

i got a tuning box of a company called t-tuning they do stuff on ebay as well as a shop. basically same idea as the dieseltuning uk boxes but a lot less expensive. have a look if they do it for yours mine only cost 70 quid and made a massive difference
