"Some oil smoke from engine at high revs ( and well over the speed limit!)... ...This engine is by no means at the end of it's life."

For an engine with 93k on it, should I expect a BIT of smoke?

At this price, would it be worth spending a bit to sort the issue? Or is it a matter of 'there are better ones out there for the price that this would cost after the fix'?

Unless you got water in the exhaust system then it may generate some light smoke when hot. But if thats the case it should go away after some driving.

But oil smoke... no way.

It could be as simple as oily hands gone all over the manifold or something..

It's unlikely though..

Yeah I saw that motor when I was looking to buy one a few weeks ago. I would stay well clear of that car....burning of oil is a deffinate no no. What ever the speed.....fast or slow
