Wrap Colour Ideas

So if you could change the colour of your car to anything you'd like, which colour would you choose?

A close family member does wrapping for a living so it wouldn't cost me very much at all..

Thinking about a colour change on mine at some point and not sure what I'd like.

Considered storm grey and even things as lairy as the Kawasaki lime green.

There are a few red things on the car already so couldn't be anything that would clash toooooo much.

Also, need to consider that a wrap probably wont look as good as actual paint work.

What would you get?

Pink, to make the boys wink... I think it would suit you ;)

seriously, the storm grey could look quite cool.

I dont think its the easiest. Iirc you cant pressure wash it.

Probably have to be carefull with it and it would probably look shite if it was pretty dirty

I really wouldn't do it at all, most wraps look terrible. The ones above are prime example of that, the Smart car doesn't look as bad, I think mainly because it's a small car.

I never use a pressure washer anyway. Good old woollen mitt.

What's wrong with the above? You talking colour or condition?

Why not :) if not you can change it :)

Me and the gf were going to do it if we didn't like the colour of a civic we were going to buy. but we ended up with a nice bronze one... I suppose if could be on the cards if we get bored of it

it's an awesome colour

What about an All Carbon Wrap, they look good when done with decent stuff and not the Gippo wraps made in Slough.

Nah, I don't really like carbon THAT much.

All Gloss white looks good on a Clio, like that one that was in the sale section a while back, looked like it should have been made a factory color.
Matt colors only look good when new and very very clean, otherwise looks like they just haven't been washed in years imo.

Don't forget you don't have to wrap your car in a solid colour, there's a so much you can do with digital print! Very easy for a designer to go over the top mind you. Generally the best fully printed wraps are the simple ones, and they're pretty much 3 times the price as a roll of vinyl! But..like you say you know someone in the business ;)

Attached is something cool, I'm pretty sure its a digitally printed gradient onto cast chrome.

Interested to keep an eye on this one! Work is paying for a few of us to do a wrapping course in the new year and I might wrap the new fezzy for a laugh!

Love matte grey cars, trying convince my mate to do it to his insignia vxr!

I was looking and considering getting mine wrapped in the new year instead of getting it painted to freshen front end up. Was considering a gun metal grey or something similar untill i saw that Lamborghini orange :p

You'll have fun at the course Tails, it's a good skill to pick up because it's always useful! Sticking big stickers to stuff is sometimes more complicated than it seems. Plus, if work's paying for it what's to lose

I design vehicle wraps at work and can fit them to a certain extent, I don't have anything on the pro's though

Here's something really subtle I wanted to do on my front end, just enlarging the black areas in matte black for a bit more impact

I actually tested a strip of vinyl, left it on for a bit, and when I removed it off came some lacquer! So small but you could tell it would turn into a complete nightmare if left on for a good 6 months. Shame.

Really looking forward to it! Its a bit of a weekend away for us too. Chapppers11 made a post about it not long ago, hence where I got the idea!

Heres the thread: http://www.cliosport.net/forum/show...rience-of-wrapping-Tuition-Day!&highlight=MDP

If anyone is interested, its MDP supplies and they do a days training every month for £95 :)

Just checked it out and it looks like fun, you'll be looking at everything differently..."I wonder if I could wrap that". Next thing you know you'll be wrapping your kitchen cupboards!

The big industry leaders do wrapping courses too, but as you might guess it's all about selling their product as well as the training. Going with an independent firm you get un-biased info

Lamborghini orange looks nice.

That is proper nice. Not sure how it would work with a Clio though.

These are supposed to be very good

They look awesome!! I thought the RR was a paint job at first. Makes me think that a gloss wrap will work fine now too.

Thanks for the link will have a little read now, that green looks awesome!

If there's already red highlights it's got to be Alfa lava red, or similar.
