Car  Renaultsport Clio 197
lost the back end, tried to correct it but at that speed and with bad tyres, it resulted in me hitting the guard rail with the front right side, rorating,then hittingthe rear right side and then returning to my lane ... the rear passenger hit his head a bit because he was asleep at the moment, his airbags deployed, so did the front passengers side airbaig and window curtain or whatever.. but the front airbags didn't deploy at all ?

anyways... RIP clio. The guard rail saved us... a big drop is on other side

they are far from new :(... could be the main cause.
What happened is that as the car is stiff (+ lowered) there was bump-steer at one point (I may be explaining this wrong, excuse my english) and the back end just lost it... the rest is obvious.

What bothers me the most is that I know that road well, and I went there a hundred times at bigger speeds and never even got tyre squeel.
Could be bald tyres, a flat tyre, patch of oil or something but mostly it's my fault because I was going fast.

@ all ''were you trying drifting/oversteer'' - comments.. I wasn't obeying the speed limit but I sure wasn't doing any 'stunts'.

At least you have owned up to the fact that driver is at frault unlike a lot of people.

And as least everyone is ok.

New 200 ?

At least when you were driving fast you chose to do so in a non residential area.

Man enough to own up to speeding, congrats. At least you was putting the car through paces at the end of its life!

Get an F1 next or a 200 ;)
 
think it'll be the tyres tbh... at least they were the contributing factor.

18.500 miles in them... :(
 
Oh damn! Liked your car a hell a lot! Shame to see it gone.

At least you're ok though! The car can be replaced.
