wt gearbox fits 1.8 16v

i am convertin my 1.2 phase 1 clio to a 1.8 16v and are findin it hard to gt hold ov 1.8 16v gearbox was wonderin wt gear box would fit if any would be appreciated if some 1 could help me with this thanx :S

I know a 1.9 diesel gearbox fit valver engines. imo they are better than the valver boxes because of the longer ratios in 4th & 5th, giving better mpg on long runs!

Infact I have a diesel gearbox if your interest!

thanx for the reply was lookin for som thing short ratio for trak bt at the mo thryin t gt hold ov 1 is hard so begers carnt be chosers how much would ya be wntin for it an where abouts ya from thanx

You realy want a Jb3 ie a a valver or 1.6 16V box or a jc5 box,

the jc1 you can find with lower ratios but there weeker and will break.

thanx ive manage t gt a 18 16v 1 now gt a great deal gt the engine box ecu part the loom and all the mounts for £50 and loads ov extras dnt fink the blok a gt it ov had a clue:lolup:
