WTF is this noise from the engine bay??

I think the inlet manifold makes a similar noise.. someone will be along to correct me though

Well my 172 and my 182 do it, amazed you've never noticed it before?

Press the trottle while the ignition is on, you'll here it move.

nope never noticed and had the car 5-6 years now.

if its the norm then who cares.

mine's just started doing this also. had the car nearly 7 years now and definately never done it before! i also have a strange noise coming from the left hand side of the engine bay which is hard to describe. sounds like a pump not working? have posted a video if anyone can help? the engine is not running by the way.

Its the throttle body. Completely normal, its just operating at such a high frequency it buzzes.

An old printer is a very good way to describe it! Is the car safe to drive like this? Would like to take it to a garage about 30 miles away if possible. Also how much to get it fixed if thats the problem? Thanks

My bad, its not the throttle body ( teach me for not watching the video!) Sounds like it might be the headlight adjuster. What is the headlight beam doing when the noise is there?

Check the level sensor on the rear axle hasnt come off.
