X360 + Addition HardDrive

X360 + Additional HardDrive

Anyone added one on?

Ive got quite a lot of films on my laptop and they take up quite a bit of room.

Would it be possible to just plug a an extra HD in via USB and then play the films from it through the 360?

What format would the films need to be in? I cant see any reason why it wont work, but I dont want to buy one if its not going to! :(

I suppose the only other option is Cheap PC and make a media centre and plug it directly into my HD-TV which is coming soon! :D

all the films would need to be in WMV for it to work as the xbox cannot handle DivX or XVid

The easiest thing to do is use a program called tveristy http://www.tversity.com/home

it allows you to stream via a wireless router your movies, pics, music etc to the 360 without using windows media center and the files don’t need to be in wmv format as it automatically converts them as its streaming, give it a go only downside is you cannot fast forward or rewind.

Cheers dude, but I want them off my laptop. Not really got the room to store them on here or that would be fine!
