I can't see the option anywhere,

only to join a game?

It was really tricky iirc, try inviting through live?

My mate sorted it,

You've got to create single player game and then have xbox live setup and invite friend or something he said!

Online now, looks pretty good!

You just start a new game and put the co-op settings as anyone can join the game.
