xbox 360 hard drive - can it be swapped

Hello,

I have an xbox 360, and am thinking of getting a second one, for brother, are the hard drives swappable, ie can i swap the two over, so i can download demo games at my place on his hard drive, then give him his hard drive back andhe will be able to use it as normal ?
