Xbox and G router

Do Xbox allow the use of G routers to connect to Live? I have a netgear G router and was fine until 5 days ago.

Guy saying they dont, was only posted 2 days ago. Is this true and is this why I cant get on Live? My mate has an N router and gets on ok.

i have mine connected using a dg834G router via cable with static ip's and its working fine

are you even using wireless to connect your xbox to your router ?

I have the same router. Was working fine, then boom it stopped working 5 days ago. Neither my isp or xbox technical support know why.
edit. using my laptop! might just buy a wireless adapter and see.

i wouldnt if your using the cable have you changed teh port your plugging into on it ? is your xbox running static ip ?
