xbox live problem

I have upgraded to gold memebership. It shows on my online account and in my memberships section, but my profile stills says silver and it will not let me onto online gaming? Any suggestions?

all sorted. I tried recover my gamertag and that worked. Strange one!

Did you reset the console after entering the code to upgrade?

yeah did that mate. Tried all sorts, only the above sorted it.

I had this too. I just waited and eventually it changed! It worked as gold just looked silver!

How do i delete a profile on the 'box?

I've got 2, ones got live the other doesn't, i've no need for the one that doesn't have live..

I think memory tab--->gamer profiles---> select and delete
