Xbox question please

Mate of mine is buying the new xbox as his had the 'rrod'. Is it straight forward to swap all your user details over to the new console? Cheers in advance

yes its easy enough you just need the data transfer cable if his old one wont power up

Data transfer cable? Apologies for my stupdity but do you get the cable with the new xbox? Or is it the exsisting one with the old machine? Cant think what it is your refering to. I would have thought switch new xbox on, type in your username and password and away you go? No?

Its an Xbox specifica cable, google it dude, plugs from one to the other. Basically the new xbox has a built in HD, where as before if you have the RROD you could just switch HDs.

Though if it's the same model, just connect the old drive to the new xbox. Job done.
