Xbox slim over PS3 slim?

Hey guys sorry this is likely one of the subject already majorly discussed but hey. I'm not sure there's been a direct comparison / thread on the two slim models.

Anyway, is there any way the Xbox is a better option? I see them as pretty level but the PS3 is better for media stuff, and the blu ray is ideal. But then I guess you could save a bit on the Xbox and get a blu ray player anyway if really wanted.

Can't bloody decide. I feel myself drawn to the Xbox as it looks cooler and seems cooler to me for some weird reason.

Are there any decent games that are only available on Xbox or vice versa with the PS3?

I'm gonna have to get a 42" HD tv in my room to enjoy them properly as well. Oh balls haha.

Second hand elites are going for under £100 mate. Won't be much more new.

I've got a 32" for the bedroom with Xbox works well full HD, was £300.

Forza 3 is really good for Xbox unsure on PS3 exclusive titles tho.

Yeah there are plenty of good exclusives for the PS3. Uncharted 1 & 2, Heavy Rain, Killzone2 (3 out in Feb), to name a few. Plus if you can wait/be bothered, GT5 will be out eventually.....

I've never been a fan of the xbox though but they do have their own exclusives too.

Maybe go Game, have a play and see what you like, but you will pay more for the PS3 though.

I've got both, and Xbox is used for gaming, PS3 is for blurays.

Xbox is cheaper, better exclusives IMO (Forza, Halo, GOW), nicer controller. Only negative is the £28 a year subscription, but it's worth it.

If you need wireless for online, the PS3 and new Xbox Slim has it built in, the older Xboxes will need a £35 add-on.

If I had to keep one as a console, Xbox would win.

Most of the feedback I have from here and elsewhere is Xbox is more for gamers. I think I'm just gonna get the slim Xbox. May as well pay the bit extra for the latest one!

The ps3 was WAY over priced for sure.

Anyway I have xbox and a ps3. LBP was a genius game and the only reason I got the console along with GT5. Didn't realise I'd have to wait this long.

The xbox gets used way more than the ps3. I'd say the xbox has a much better online and gaming experience overall.

Erm okay.

Let me just make this clear. I posted this thread to get some opinion. I have also posted elsewhere and the majority of feedback I have got all points to the Xbox. As I was personally struggling to identify which console to purchase I thought it wouldn't do any harm to get some response on the subject.

Having since received this feedback, I decided to shoot for the Xbox. If I already knew what I wanted I wouldn't have made this post. Simple!

Main reason to get the new Xbox is the quietness of it. You get an Elite and it'll sound like a Hornet's nest in your room.

I've got both consoles side-by-side and the XBox 360 is always my first choice for gaming

in fact, if the PS3 didn't play Blurays it would have been sold by now

recently upgraded to the 360 S as well, it is very nice and now quieter than the PS3!!!

Just had mail confirmation that the 360 S has been dispatched. Will have to wait til after Leeds fest before I can play though.

Loving how cheap COD, Forza and GTA are going too!
