I just got myself an old xbox, as I want to use it as a media centre and play a few of the backups I have made of some games I have purchased.
There seems to be a lot of info out there, but Im not sure what is the best path to go down.
I would like to install a big hard drive, and play divx films etc....
Any help much appreciated.

Is it modded?

For DivX XBMC plays ANYTHING

Its not modded as yet.....however Im interested in getting an Xecutor chip, as this seems the way to go, although are these only useful for playing my backups?

No, you can have a soldered chip, install slayers on the HDD and you can run XBMC.

If you need it done I know someone......
