Xenon Headlight Washers Units

Hi All

Has anyone ever had the end of the washers 'pop' out so it no longer directs the water at the headlight? One of mine has disappeared and when I try and wash the headlights I end up washing the car in front?

If so how much are they and how easy are they to fit new ones?

Saw another 172 the other day and his were both missing, so it seems to be a common fault!! I'm guessing it would fail the MOT as well?

Cheers all

i think there about £12 each its a bumper off job. the common problem on them is they seem to dribble.

i replaced the passenger side one. and i did it without removing the bumper. it was arch liner out thou! long bar and rachet. think it 19mm nut.

£11.78 from renault

you can also strip them down and clean them. i found dirt on the seat causing it to drip. if it poors out thou the ball prob not in there.

if you get a small hook in you can hook the end out of the bumper then hold it while you put your new end on!

Mine is the passenger side one as well - when I had to replace the fog light down there, I did so by squeezing between arch liner and bumper so hopefully will be able to get to the washer nut the same way - Thanks for the info = amazing a spare part from Renault which costs under £30.....
