xenon headlights

hi my clio 172 cup has the standard lights in, i was wanting to upgrade them to the xenon headlights. does any1 no if they will just plug in, replace and work in space of my old ones...????

You'll need to buy some projector lenses from a proper 172.

no, cups have the standard ones like 99% of non sports have, you can get HID's and fit them in to cup headlights, but they spray the light everywhere and blind other road users... Xenons generally go for around 250 mark depending on condition, as said before they have projector lenses, technically you would need auto levellers and washers

Could get aftermarket projectors, and either cut the rear of your lights, or seperate them, aftermarket self levellers are available but pricey!

Have a look at a picture of a Renaultsport (non cup) and you'll notice the silver piece inside the case, thats the projector the normal lights don't have!

Just buy a set, direct swap headlight for headlight, probably cost you around 200 for a set.

Guys I think the OP knows he needs the xenon headlights, he is just asking if they will plug in and work, which is correct they will, except technically you should have autolevelling and headlight washer jets, but in my eyes they do bugger all anyway.

autolevelling does plenty, washers are a different matter

thanks for all your help. i have bought a set of xenon headlights just waiting to swap them over. cost £250 but will be well worth it when they are fitted
