Xenon help please!

Hi guys,

Since buying my 172, the N/S xenon hasn't worked. The sidelight, indicator etc are all fine, just the xenon that doesn't ignite. I got a new bulb and tried that but had no luck so had to leave it until I found some time to take a proper look.

Today I finally got around to pulling the bumper off and having a decent look at it. I have a few other xenon headlamps here that I tried and none of them worked either. I removed the O/S one to have a tidy up behind the headlamp, sat it on the ground gently. I then plugged it back it, switched them on......nothing. So now both xenons don't work!

Any ideas? Do they have to be reset once they've been removed?

The actual booster packs buggered?

It just seems strange that one minute the O/S one was working then it's not.

I've got 5 different booster packs so I'll be playing around with them this evening to see if anything changes.

Check the earth, if it looks in poor condition try giving it a clean up. i had a similar problem with my friends 172 xenons.

I actually got them both working this afternoon. They kept popping fuses, but after replacing a ballast and a few fuses, they seem to be working okay!
