I think one would have to replace both headlights, which I have seen on here quite a lot mate.
I think the original loom just plugs into the Xenon ballast pack. Like I say, I think, but am pretty sure.
Plenty of people have done it.
To be properly legal you'd need washer jets and auto levelling too IIRC.
I didn't bother with those on mine and just bought a pair of headlamps/ballast units and they were fine - never had any trouble with police etc.

Just buy the complete headlights, they're plug and play. Don't bother with the other guff, the washers don't do s**t and the auto levellers just break and decide they constantly want to adjust themselves. Police don't care as long as they're not blinding anybody and if MOT man decides he has a problem with it swap them back to standard for the test, only takes half an hour.
