Yellow connector on standard HU

Can someone confirm to me whether the small yellow connector on the back of the standard Clio Head Unit is for the dash display?

If so my new jvc will work fine without it? Just won't have the dash display?

It is for the display and also the drivers stalk on the steering wheel.

It will work fine without this.
