Yellow deposit

I have just found a yellow depost around one of the piped under the bonnet!

Any info on what it is would be great

I cant actually tell what it is. The joint was a bit wet but only a tiny bit.

tbh, unless it gets worse, or you start getting problems, then i wouldnt worry about it.

Ah right sound. The only reason i noticed it was because im having running probs from Leads or Coils and i tried tracing the leads to somewhere and this yellow crusty stuff is over some of the wires where i traced em to.

Thats a coolant pipe, think the thermostat is in there not 100% though

Looks like you have a leaky gasket there. From the photo it looks like it's the water system..... I'd get it checked out to be sure as gaskets can go and you could lose water quicky and hence fry the motor.

Does anyone know whether it is possible to replace the leads which go into the pencil coils?

Deffo coolant, I had this on my first 182. I think the thermostat housing needed to be replaced.
