Some guy on my uni course invented an interactive tv element which microsoft found out about, to which they shipped him out to america to start a massively paid job with them based on his idea.

Yeah lucky b*****d! Is this technology he invented around yet?
 
If some guy in his lounge can do this why isn't this technology already on sale? Imagine this technology with the likes of COD4 and being able to actually pop your head around a wall!
 
Can someone explain what it is for the people at work that have youtube blocked?

I'm sure it's easly 100x cooler than armageddon!
 
Why (and how) is his Wii-mote connected to the PC though? I didn't get that bit.
Bluetooth, the wiimote is an IR reciever, its tracking the IR LED's on his head. It then transmits this back to the PC and the on screen display is redrawn acordingly.
