York - 15’s or 16’s

Undecided to leave the 16" speedlines with brand new toyos on, or stick the 15" willy wheels on with not so good tyres. They are still ok.

The willy wheels are lighter and probably slightly quicker acceleration, but the speedlines will prob have more grip and look better lol

Smaller wheels are generally better for acceleration...

But, if the tyres aint as good youll lose traction off the line and its the start that dictates the time really, so go with the best tyres.

As for 16s looking better, you cant really say "well I got a slow time, but it looked good" can you!

lol, i know, but the speedlines are brand spanking, the willy wheels are desperate for a refurb..............

They are speedline chronos. not got any decent pics yet, ill get some today.

I think ill put the willy wheels on and go for a few practive starts to compare! lol

its upto you mate i didnt think the speedlines weighed more than the willy wheels and there the same overall diameter

i dont think its worth runnin 15s unless you got 45 profile tyres

yeah i compared and they are slightly heavier. but the size is the same overall i suppose! When i put the 16s on i notices a little loss in acceleration, but hardly.

Any other tips. thinking of taking the doors, bonnet and boot off. and possibly the engine out to save weight. i got a sail from mi old mans boat....

p.s its mi 1st time 1/4 miling, sh*tting it lol!

depends on how you view qtr miling

Personally in terms of wheels I would run it as you do on the road

Im hopefully gonna be investing in some 16" speedline chronos next month so wouldnt mind seeing a few cars with them on first.

u just hav to give em a good kicking back an too to loosen em
