Now then chaps,
Thought it might be worth making a thread for us Yorkshire folk to chit-chat during this cold off season. Probably won't be much happening here until we see leaves back on trees so thought it would be worth having this to have a general natter.
This time of year some of our motors are being tucked away, having a few bits done over winter or sold on for something different, what's everyone up to over the winter period?

You had any luck selling the 182 on yet Sam? (@Sj1782), washed your car yet Ethan? (@leeds2592), anyone having any work done on their motors whilst it's chilly and dark out?

Not interest as of yet as I'm guessing it's the wrong time of the year! Gives me more chance to decide on what I'm wanting next! I can't stop looking at 335d's so may have to go and test drive one [emoji38]

Still not washed mine yet mate. Haven't washed it since that meet at Huntsman. Lovely colour when clean though Steve haha.

Got loads to do on mine as well but it's too cold. Got new wishbones and ball joints to go on, need to replace my top mounts, replace the collars on the coilovers as they're knackered, get it aligned after all that, get some coilover covers, decat to go on, sell the standard 182 alloys I've got in the garage, sell the F1's I've got in the garage, buy some 2118's then sell my TD's that are on the car.

CAS Coatings in Bradford are supposed to be pretty cheap and cheerful. They get mixed reviews though.

Cars going to be tucked up ready for insurance changeover in january, exciting! Got a new das6pro off the mother for my birthday along with a mezerna kit so excited to try this out on the new one. Headlights need a good going over.

Grab a restore kit from halfords if you have a drill. Easy job to polish them up.

Sent my injectors to Dan to clean after getting a misfire code the other week. Got an abs pump to go on too so might book it in local garage for service etc soon.
Driving the wifes mk4 dci now and it's bloody HUGE! [emoji38]

There's a place in Garforth called the Wheel Specialist, not used them personally but heard they're pretty good.
When I had my old 172 I couldn't be arsed sorting my lights so just bought a new set off eBay for cheap!

I've heard the Wheel Specialist are good but expensive. Get what you pay for though I guess.

There's supposed to be a decent place in Cas called LSN Coatings. Not sure what they charge though.

In other news with the help of @craigyt removed the centre silencer of the 197 over the weekend and replaced with some straight pipe. Sounds very raspy with a few crackles and pops, small flat spot increase but nothing serious, if it becomes a bother I'll look at getting it mapped [/chav].

That sounds nice to me! On topic-ish but Leeds traffic recently is starting to do my nut in. I reset my trip computer leaving work in Morley, drove into the city centre and home again. Average 8mph, I could go quicker on a bloody mobility scooter!
