now I am thinking whether to buy the itrip thing or work my way around the original radio circuits somehow

Have you tried the itrip, it is millions pounds cheaper maybe i'd go for the better quality when I change the car next spring, but need to use the ipod before then, maybe the stuff you're talking about is remountable?? could I take it to another car??? I am thinking about a 197, maybe an air-conned white WSbR edition, but there is lots of work to be done before.... need to increase me earnings a little...

can you post up a pics of mounting the ipod to the dashboard, ??? I dont want any of the front windshield suck on ideas.... best would be to have it close to the radio......

I have used the iTrip in the past but it really sucks.. OK it kinda worked.. but the
sound quality was like a tape casette.. So I bought a JVC headunit that
was compatible with the KS-PD100 wich you can hide behind your dash. The
cable goes to the glovebox so my iPod is out of sight. I use the headunit
to change songs and brows playlists. Track names appear on the display
etc. It was in a '05 Clio 1.2 16V Community by the way. Really works perfect!!
