Love to know where Nintendo stand on replacing damage caused by the strap breaking, surely the strap is unfit for purpose, therefore Nintendo are liable for replacing the damaged property?

Just pre-ordered my Wii at a local independant retailer. Possibly here on the 11th, defintely before christmas though.

God bless argos for not releasing their whole allocation of Wii's in one big block.

I contacted them! I was curious if I was going to be a jammy bar-steward by only ordering 4 days ago and getting one on release day! Turns out what I heard was correct I'm a happy bunny.

I bought wii-play too as I figured it was best the best value way to get another controller.

Wii-Play looks quite reasonable for a fiver, I'm sure I will play it a few times in multiplayer so well worth it.

This is a classic:

Yesterday i was playing baseball on wii sports with some friends and, obviously, we were really getting into it.
it's my turn to pitch and my wiimote slips out of my hand as i swing my arm. "don't worry," i thought,"that's what the safety strap is there for."
then it snapped.
my wiimote flew out of my hand and hit my tv, crashing through the bottom left corner of the screen.
we still finished the game.
