Your views on yoko paradas

  172 cup
I have had yokohama parada spec2's on my car for about a year now. Running 28psi front 26psi rear. They need replacing soon.

Just wondered what other people who have used these for road use think to them?

Do I go for the same again? or change to PE2s or GSD3s

ah but once you get the car driving the air will heat up and expand giving you more like 30/32 psi.. your 35 psi front tyres are bound to wear in the middle nah? or do you drive like captain slow?

when i put tyres on my valver i didnt have much money so i bought 4 A539's which cost me just shy of £25 eachinc VAT. And then i got a friend to fit them for me. Not bad for £100 all in.

i have about 26-27psi in the front and 24 in the back (more if the car is loaded up)

Obviously tyre pressures will vary from tyre to tyre and from driving style to driving style

Any higher on the front and i find the front end is far too twitchy and also becasue of this, loses grip easier in the wet.
And the pressures on the back makes the rear very predictable if you lift off mid corner. Any higher on the back and i found lifting off in the wet really scary.

Ive swapped backs and fronts a few times and will have "used" all 4 tyres in about 10k miles. I drive quite hard so im quite happy. They have worn very very evenly considering the -2deg front camber

i ahve just gone from the S306 - Paradas and i think there very good

In the wet there predictive and the dry(cold) days they seem fairly good too. Just highlights the body roll of my clio ha ha

thats a manufacturer recomendation, the person driving the car may or may nto like that pressure

its personal choice, just like what make tyres you put on

  EK9 + Mfactory gearing..
had both, spec 2's (205/45/16) excellent in the dry (very good grip on track in the dry, good feedback), okay in the wet. GSD3 (195/50/15) squirm a bit more, good in the dry although not as grippy as the spec 2's, good in the wet. (trying on track next week). both good tyres.
