Civic Type S GT
Well got my yozza delivered today then went straight to Morecambe to get it fitted. Hit a few problems when fitting it but nothing that couldn't be fixed as you'll see.
So here's how the car looked.
Got it to Westgate Tyres/Powerflow and up on the ramp. I knew that my exhaust was knackerd and had 5 holes in it, it was rotten! So glad I had finally got a yozza!
Also found that the driver's side rear damper was absolutly covered in oil as I have a leak somewhere. :S
So off with the old, which I must say doesn't half have some weight to it!
Then what I thought would be no hassle job to go on.
Didn't sit right at all.
Then after some tweaking around still didn't sit right.
The tips just woundn't sit right in the gaps and when you straightened up the back box the tips looked pi$$ed. They said it was a real pain to fit, so what should of been a straight forward job turned out not to be!
So some ideas got thrown around then it got filtered down to 'Right, lets heat it up, get some slack into it, cut off the support bracket and cut off the left tip, then weld it back on!'
All in all I was suprised at how the exhaust didn't fit as well as I thought it would of done, alot of people on here say how much it was a perfect no messing swap but not in this case, although I have seen a few people's reviews where they have had to go back to get it straightened up.
The guys did a fantastic job and I have done a write up in the specialist experiences.http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?t=481149
Now the exhaust is sitting perfect and i've got to say it is fecking awesome! It sounds great and the drive home was great, smiles all round!
I havn't got a pic of finished result but I will put one on first thing tomorrow when it's light!
Hope you all like it, I certainly do! Look forward to hearing what some of you have to say.
Thanks for reading. Cal.
