Yozzasport 182 de cat.....Question....

Will your 182 get through an MOT with a YS decat on, with the rest of the exhaust remaining standard?? Obviously this only replaces the front cat, anyone know how much this affects your emissions ?

I think it's a bit of a grey area, and depends how friendly your MOT station is. As far as I know, the cat has to be fitted to the car - but not necessarily as part of the exhaust ! I do know people who have got away with cable tying the cat to the boot floor and calling that "fitted". It will still need to pass the emissions test though.

From what i've read on here the 182's fail with a de cat , but some 172's have been known to pass with a de cat .

no it won't.

you will have to swap back to a catted system for MOT time...or do what i do and find an MOT tester who is "helpful"
