Would the thicker anti roll bar meen a problem for fitting? I'm looking at a 182 axle so long as it's a straight swap

I've recently found out i need to replace the rear axle on my 172 cup and am on the lookout for one but would like to know if any other models rear axles will fit such as the standard 172 or 182/cup? Are they all they same size and width or would modifications need to take place? Thanks

i'm lokking for road and track days and will go for the castrol response but what kind of shops will sell it? All basingstoke has is a halfords and camberley auto factors :dapprove: Does anyones know if most other halfords sell the castrol?

Is this DOT 4 fluid or DOT 5.1?! I've looked on a bunch of sites but can't see any mentioning it!! I'm fitting brake lines as soon as i get a chance so am after some high quality DOT 4 fluid, can anyone suggest any if the castrol one isn't? Also i'm in basingstoke and would prefer to pick it up...

Nothing shows on the computer screen at all. My computer makes the noise that something has connected but that's it, nothing shows up, i can't find it anywhere and the ipod freezes!!! What is firmaware? The battery ran dead so i reconnected it and it's all updated but i'd prefer it if i didn't...

Not sure which one i have, it's about 1" by 1" and not very thick.....anyway whenever i plug it into the computer for it to update from itunes it just freezes. I then have to wait a day or thereaboputs for it to run out of battery in standy mode, reconnect it, and then it'll update!!! I'm sure...

What is it that omex, motec, emerald etc.... do that aids performance so much more than just having your car mapped on a rolling road? Will the standard ecu only let you change how the engine runs by so much or what? Always wondered becasue they cost so much!

Are the connector points different on the cars? I've had delivered goodridge brake hoses for my cup but they don't fit. The box has 172 sport written on it but i want to make sure they are wrong before i start complaining!

From what the guy who did the tracking said .4 is a hell of a lot and he wasn't trying to sell anything because they don't fix it there! I'll load a picture of the tracking results when i get some time, i can't remember if it's positive or negative

Why do so many people opt for the high carbon discs instead of the max? Are the max discs not as good or do they wear quickly? Just noticed so many people get the HC in the short time i've been on this site and wondered why :S Thanks

I am hoping to do track days with it so want everything 100%, even thinking about the h&r sus set up and getting that done by mark fish(some time in a couple months) but obviously no point if i can't turn left without the car trying to flip!!!!

ok cheers guys. I'm capable of doing the job myself but want to know that the only thing that could be putting the tracking out so far is the rear axle. Are there any ways of checking that it's not the mounts that have been moved as well? Or can the axle be straightened? Wish i could just smack...

I have bought a cat d write off 172 cup and the handling is awful! I've had the tracking done and found it's miles out, got the front sorted but noticed the back right wheel is still .4 degree out(that's where it got hit before:( and .4 is A LOT) Is there anyway this can get sorted without...
