Of course, I think they come in 4s as that's the size of the vinyl sheet so will use the spare to put on the sign again :)

If I come it will be a late announcment nearer the time ;)

I may be going contracting in the near future so will have more monies available (hopefully) so I'm not out of it yet :)

Very tempted to join you guys but have a few questions.

Do you have a link to the campsite? Do you book a slot on the campsite or just turn up and help yourself to a pitch?

Which days do you plan on doing laps of the ring, as I see someone mention an event was on that weekend?

What do you normally do for food? I see a few restaurants mentioned, do you eat out everynight or do BBQ's etc at the campsite?

How much did it cost in total last year?

Hi Tom,

Camping was at http://www.camping-am-nuerburgring.de/ which is 13 euros a day, turn up and pitch etc. Was an alright place tbh apart from the rammstein playing Germans and if you want a hot shower i'd get in there first. But your aloud fires, bbqs, noise etc so its fairly laid back.

I plan on doing a few laps Friday and Sunday becasue as you have said there is an event on the Saturday which is the "RCN Circuit Challange" http://www.nuerburgring.de/en/events/motorsports-events/all-events.html
but http://www.nurburgring.org.uk/calendar.php has different dates but I dont think thats offical

Food wise in the morning we ate bacon sandwhices, croissants etc. I think Dan mostly went in the morning bought loads off food and it cost us like £2 each for breakfast for that day.
Lunch was the same or either eating out and dinner was BBQ or eating out again. 24" pizza any topping for 12 euros you cant gp wrong;)

Money wise I'm not to sure about last year but I think I'm going to budget £300-£400 for my self (inc laps) then I think £300 for my passenger But we have already booked ferry and Hotel before so thats got to be taken away from that. Depends how you want to live really and what you want to do etc.

Cheers Scott, just gotta see if I can get a passenger to share the costs.

Also going to Le Mans a few weeks later, so need to budget!

Was gutted I missed last year so really hoping I can go this year.

From an economy point of view what speeds do you cruise over there at?

The way back was a different story hey Danny;) But tbh the drive down was fairly slow as was alot of trafic and all through Belgium that are ment to be strict on speed limits?

I still got back on a tank :p

But yes the drive back was a bit more spirited :)

Also we were nearly falling asleep driving there. I hadn't slept for about 36 hours by time we started setting up tents!

I won't do breakfast this year as I wasn't planning on taking a BBQ, I just liked going for a thrash whilst the roads were empty lol.

I can bring my fake BBQ hot plate though if you want me to ;)

It's extra stuff to bring, we can easily get pastries and stuff from the bakery or I'm sure somewhere will do some kind of bacon sandwich!

Without stating the obvious, I am stupid...

I didn't realise that we are going on Thursday morning, I was hoping to go Friday...

I have another 8 cars/mates that are coming aswell so am going to get them to camp with us. They are going down Friday so I might meet you guys over there

We're actually heading off Wednesday evening to get a hotel in Kent this year.

But that's more than fine to do that. Hoping to get same spot as last year ;)
