Got a Corbeau Pro Series seat now
Corbeau Alloy mounts
Omp 801 Leggera harness (3inch straps, 4 point jobbie, amazing bit of kit!)

Plans are to fit an addition pro series passenger seat, gti leather rear bench and carbon door cards front and rear.
Originaly i had it completly stripped inside (cut down loom, the lot). However with a recent purchase ( ;) ) i wont be able to get it all sprayed up and shiny for FCS so this is the next best thing. Sort of a Saxo / 106 Rallye combination.

01/04/12 not even an April fools joke.


Haven't updated much for a while as been trying to keep my plans a secret but as we aproach spring / summer and the shows are looming i thought it best to unvail what ive been up to.


First of all, alot of my focus has been on the cars interior.
Plans were to strip it and get the interior sprayed to a show and shine standard. This is still the plan but in the short term i wont have the funds to do it before FCS (you'll see why in a min)
So im having two Corbeau Pro-Series seats with OMP 801Leggera harnesses. Already have one and fitted:

And to have a leather rear bench (bought and waiting delivery)
Also carbon front door cards which im yet to buy.


The big part of the update is the fact ive bought an engine today!






The engine in question is Sonny's 8v rallye engine that produces 157BHP!

The spec as i remember it is:


Sandy brown ITB's from GSXR 1000k2 bodies
QEP head with ALOT of machining work
AtSpeed Racing valves
Catcam 645 Cam (most extreme you can run on standard internals)
Venier pully
406 2.0ltr injectors
Itg filter with correct spacing for zero power loss




Im over the moon with it to be honest!
Plans are to get the engine looking all shiny and mint, source a good short gearbox, stock pile some parts and send it down to AtSpeed for fitting and mapping. 8.3k limiter does sound good.


Time will tell if i go mental and search for more 8v power.

Dont expect the engine in by FCS as i have a holiday to go on before hand. But Trax is a definitive deadline.

157bhp from an 8v?! That's probably kicking out more power than my GTI-6 FLOL. Very nice choice of mods, there.
Its defintaly the best 8v on bodies i know of. Once its up and running i may look for more power, can be achieved with rods,pistons and a mad cam. With a rev limit around 9k, id hope to see near the 170/180 mark eventually but its very fresh ground as no one really pushes 8v's that much. Id like to see what i can do.

Just glad i have it now chris, did dent the boot floor on the way home so some ghetto fixing will be needed to pop it out.

Feel free mate, just give me a text. Its a bit grubby at the moment but ill be changing that! The work on the head and bodies is stunning, its amazing how much time and effort Sandy puts into the bodies and inlet manifold to.

How much power do you have at the moment?

The black top 8v lumps started life with a embarresing 90bhp. Id say my current engine is pretty much there due to its recent rebuild, so its a fair jump in such a light weight hatch. And power delivery is something completely different.
Id love to start playing with pistons and rods next year and see how close to 180 i can get it. Double the standard bhp!

For now my aim is to end up with 200 bhp per tonne. With this engine, as it is, the car will need to be 800kg. Which i think i can achieve soon!

The silver rocker engines (later type) had 98, but arguably they are harder to tune due to the way the rockers work. And Vts' came with 120 standard.
