Thanks, glad people take the time to read a whole read like this, Ive tried to document it as best i could. Wish i could change the thread title now as it isnt oem+ much anymore.
Glad you like it but i can think of alot better examples then mine but hopefully im up there.

Because im not the one doing the conversion. Atspeed will be doing it all and a custom wiring loom. Untill i know where everything is going i dont want to start filling holes etc because they will only have to change it to move stuff around in the bay. I have no issue taking the engine and gearbox out in an afternoon. Then it's probably a week worth of prep and spraying, then back in on the next weekend. Simples.

That sounds logical then, thought you would be fitting the engine.
Nah, i can physically bolt it in and fit parts but with regards to wiring its going to be a completely bespoke loom. And i dont want to fit everything and do away with some bits they need. Besides the labour of fitting it will probably be the least expensive compared to mapping and making the loom.
Its an 106 Rallye Engine (once), being match to a Saxo loom and a Omex 600 Ecu.

Plans are to get the car a bit more track ready for next year. At trax ill be on the sax-p stand all day with the car looking the same but expect some big changes after that.
Any way, thanks to everyone who i spoke to sunday, was good to see some new people aswell as the usual lot. I thought it was a good show with only saxperience's location letting it down. Im sure that will be changed going forward!
As usual the competiton for show and shine on my stand was very tough, i walked the stand a few times and im glad i didnt have to make a decision, there were some very very nice examples on display.
I'm very proud to say that i ended up winning Saxperience show and shine!

got some OMP harness pads as the 3inch belts do dig in to the neck a bit if you're only wearing a t-shirt. No pics though.
Now, i went and bought another quafie look-a-like gear knob in white this time (current one is black):
However when it came through it had all this s**t attached :
So yeah, got a Satchshift. That's one of the items I bought, waiting on the other which is a new Supersprint race pipe, as I'm fed up of the old one i have breaking.
Satchshift will be fitted with the engine and box by Atspeed, when i eventually get the monies and parts together.
For those who don't know, a 'Satchshift' is a creation from Colin Satchel, (Sandy Brown's partner in crime). It completely replaces the entire linkage and shifter set up. This is rose jointed throughout, and has an extended lever to bring it alot higher / closer to the wheel, running one bar under the car and one inside straight through the bulkhead. Due to not having rubber bushes it feel's absolutely amazing, really solid. However mechanical sympathy needs to be taken into account as there is no bushes to dampen and impact caused by bad shifting.
