[AUS] His + hers - Clio 4 RS 200T

  130i Road, 172 Track
A few weeks back we picked up our RS Clio 4 Sport Trophy (full fat) in Glacier White.

So far, so good. She was delivered with only 15km, so we're taking it pretty easy to start. I didn't get a drive for several hours as the wife wouldn't give up the driver's seat!

On that, this will be a shared car for us for the next little while with the missus driving it to work on week days. She's named her 'Chloe' already and seems to really like her.

A few photos from when we picked her up:

In the last week, we've filled her up once and added about 300km around Sydney.

So far, so good. Really enjoying it (would still rather a manual) but the added versatility of the EDC suits us perfectly at the moment. Mel's been driving it a bit as says she gets lots of looks with people staring and pointing - she's also started waving at other Renaultsports!

On the to do list is:
- C L I O debadge (just leaving it on there for now while it's so new, so people know what it is 8) )
- front tints
- private plates

On the 'maybe' list:
- centre resonator chop
- black badges

On the "want but unlikely for now/SWMBO won't let it slide" list:
- remap
- lowering springs

Will keep her pretty much standard for the foreseeable future and just get to know the ins and outs of the car

Haha cheers - yeah, it's a car website I run (check it out if you like!).

No Cup chassis - was an extra $2500 here, which I couldn't justify given the missus will be driving it most of the time. Sport chassis is supremely comfortable too.

Plus the savings can go towards zorst/remap and I won't feel as bad changing the suspension down the track either ;)

Looking really good in that Paint colour! At first was not keen on the new MK4's but they are slowly growing on me. Enjoy your new purchase:)

If I didn't do 700+ miles a week I'd have one of these as a daily but I'd keep the ph1 for track.

It would have to have the cup chassis though, the one I drove felt great! But I think I'd prefer the 17s to 18s.

They do look good in white, it suits it more than the other colors I think.

Not really a fan, very plain looking... but if subtle's what you're going for then great :) either way enjoy! Still jealous.

Cheers fellas. Drove it around a fair bit this weekend and getting addicted to the noise - makes some great pops and bangs on the overrun. Even the wife commented on it!

Jesus - probably should've read "His/Hers" tbh!

Kayzee - each to their own. Put it next to a Polo GTI and the Polo looks like bag of sauerkraut!

The wife wanted white. I like white. I prefer clean, silver wheels to black. So it all worked out. It's a good car to share and I still have the stripped out 172 for raw NA thrills.

Very happy so far 8)

I had a bucks weekend up in the Hunter 2 weekends ago, so took Chloe for a run. My 6'7" brother had no qualms sitting in the front (just pushed the seat a fair way back) and she was a breeze to drive up the freeway, with plenty of grunt for the odd overtaking squirt.

Started in near work in town:

Ended up at a house in Allondale where she sat for 2 days while all sorts of shenanigans ensued 8)

Fully loaded boot and half the rear set with all sorts of crap, plus my bro in the front and another mate in the back for the drive home. Handled with aplomb and even squeezed in a case of bubbles from a local winery for the wifey to keep her happy 8)

Cracked 1000km by the time we got home, so gave her a good wash and bought her a present (thanks to RenoTech for the prompt delivery and great pricing!)

She's starting to open up a bit more with some km on her. Or maybe it's just me getting used to the different driving experience! She feels really fast in 2nd and 3rd, and makes a great noise on WOT as well as on the overrun, with all sorts of pops and bangs, particularly in Sport mode.

Can't wait to take her for a proper mountain blast.

  Lots of Scrap...
bloody hell I was not ready for that, I have always thought the new clio 4 RS looked utterly gash, but in white, on those proper alloys (not like the shite on the megane in the pic) it looks.....dare I say it.......fecking wonderful

Cheers fellas - yeh, it's a Sport (no Cup pack) with leather, sensors, camera, climate, R-Link nav etc etc (in Aus they call it a 'Trophy' pack).

I really like the wheels - very similar to, if not the same as, the Megane 265 Tibor rims. They even look like some Evoque rims I've seen...

  Nissan 350z
Walkie86 out of interest is that Megane lowered, and if so on what?

I've never seen a side by side shot of the new Clio and the Megane before, I never realised how large it makes the Clio seem! Great pics keep them coming :)

Sargara - thanks mate. The 250 is on Eibachs - looks just about perfect, I reckon.

Plenty more pics to come. Hoping to do a shoot soon with some mates in a GW R27 and GW 265 8)

One of the better looking 200t's still can't get on with the front end tho.

In those comparison shots the 1*2's always pip it imo! Megane is awesome apart from the wheels.

Megane is awesome apart from the wheels.

The problem is the Megane's weird wheel fitment of 8.25x19 5x114 ET65 66.1. There's no aftermarket alternatives that fit right, same problem with the 18's. Pro Race 1.3 just about manage, that's it.
