Metal flapping sound

When going over bumps (potholes) cars making a sound like sheet metal flapping in the wind. I thought it was probably the heat shielding but that's all pinned on securely.

Any ideas what else it might be.

Starter motor heatshield? Sits on the back of the engine.

Exhaust mounts ok?

Could be knocking against the heatshield when going over bumps.

Exhaust mounts look good, will check the starter motor heat shield tomorrow.

Its a very tinny sound so can't think what else it might be.

I doubt it'll be the starter motor shield it's not flimsy or big enough,
it's usually always some part of the exhaust heatshield in my experience.

My car sounded like a load of scrap metal in the back of a van
until I tracked down which part was rattling, then zip ties to the rescue.

Going to have to do some investigating later I think, bloody annoying noise tho like a gate banging in the wind.

Ha har had to take the exhaust off but found the problem, a little piece of heatshield behind the cat.

Yeah me too! Might have it all replaced before next winter and undersealed.
