I once forgot to put the pinch bolt back in the wishbone ball joint on a 205 GTI. Got about 200 yards before the wishbone and hub separated pulling the drive shaft CV joint apart and causing some significant steering "issues".....bad times....

Yep, exactly why the light in my spoiler is wobbling around!
Too bad I've lots the screws now

Not half as fun as Tom182's story though!
