the resistor pack on my 182 went today and the resistor pack on the grand scenic has been gone for a while.
why do they go?
To put this in perspective, will this be the second used eBay item & how many pollen filters have you replaced in 11 years?in the 182's 11 years of life this will be the third one
you make it sound like a resistor pack is like a set of tyresTo put this in perspective, will this be the second used eBay item & how many pollen filters have you replaced in 11 years?
you make it sound like a resistor pack is like a set of tyres
it should last the life of the car!!
pollen filter might not of been changed recently 2-3 years, but that shouldn't make the resistor pack go
it should last the life of the car!!
but a resistor pack is an electrical circuit which shouldn't blow.
Not many electrical units last the life of the car.Battery?Alternator?Bulbs?O2 sensors? Probably not.
Vauxhall obviously think the pollen filter has a bearing on the resistors failing.

If its designed to blow the day after the warranty expires, they`ve done a good job!but a resistor pack is an electrical circuit which shouldn't blow.
poor design
