Project Clubsport Clio 200

  RS Clio 182
£600 all in with dephaser. Different design though and they're pretty reliable. That said, I'll still be having mine replaced.
£500 without the dephaser.
Plus £160 for the major service, so £760 all in.

Doncaster diagnostic centre is £420 for the 200 belts....trusted guys, theyve done my 182 belts twice before with no problem whatsoever.

Nice stance on the 200 btw!

Thanks. I've booked it into a trusted local place now for the end of May. I'm having it done 12 months/4k miles early, but I'd rather be covered before I drive it hard this summer.

Gary mate. Seems a really knowledgeable guy and I've spoken to a few that've used him before too.

@Christopher have you ever had a problem with the kangarooing effect in 2nd gear in the 200?

Ive had mine a week and i get it quite a lot..it seems to happen when at a standstill on a junction with a slight downhill incline, when i accelerate after. I end up quickly changing up to 3rd.

Not really mate, not like that at least.

It's borderline undrivable when cold but soon sorts itself out. There is a pronounced flat spot at 2.5k though, which is most noticeable in second. It could be that, but all 197/200s have that issue on the standard map.

How long do you call a warmup hehe...mine still does it after 10 minutes of driving!

Do you know if that tie wrapping the map sensor works at all?

Can never drive on that road quick myself always fearing cameras!
The one on the other side is brilliant!
Didn't realise you was so local to myself!

I've driven on the Road for years, only live 10 mins away though!

I've noticed they have Average Speed Camera's now on the A675 Belmont to Abby Village now [emoji26]

Yeah always seem to have vans up there when I go!
Have they finished that yet?
Shame as I think it's primarily bikers down there getting caught up in the accidents they now are trying to avoid

I did mate, but under warranty fortunately. The slave then gave up on the way home from the Ring so it's also had a new clutch, flywheel and slave/release bearing about 20k ago.

I just double clutch everywhere now as a precaution. Lol. Cheese syncros.

A couple of years back, I left my car running for 20/30 mins before going on a rolling road and it was still on the cold map. Made 160bhp on that. Shat myself lol

I've considered a map but that's the price of track time, tyres or car parts. Can't really justify it tbh

True..il try the tie wraps first hehe. It all seems to be a bit random..today it drove fine but other days it just wont go at cold engine temp. Maybe im learning to tame the kangaroo hehe.

Attended an EVO Triangle run at the weekend with a few other Mk3 RS' and a rogue 991 C4S. The car was amazing all day and the weather was perfect for a blast.
On roads like that, you remember how much fun your car is.

I also had an update from Corbeau today and my seats will be delivered next week... three months after ordering. :tired: I've also bought an X85 Cup Racer airbox, but need to buy a decent dry-cell battery in order to fit it. That'll be my next job for the quest for sub-1100kg.

That pic of you from the car in front!!

Honestly couldn't believe how this handled following you on the first run, that spacer/spring/tyre combo made it look like you had glue on the road (probably a big dosage of balls helps with this as well haha).

Makes me excited about when I can order my own springs and spacers.

Ha, cheers. Being used to the car over five years helps, you really get to know its limits!
I do really like the fresh Cup dampers with the H&Rs, they work really well on bumpy roads. I'm worried that I'll lose that level of compliance if I ever go B14 down the road... Hmm.

AD08R's too. Get some!

You would have loved that drive we had on here a few months ago too. Christ, the pace we were all moving at 😊

It's quality when everyone is keeping up though.

Yeah, I was gutted to miss that but I didn't have any seats at the time. 😂
The weather we had on Sunday was so good, you could really push. The good thing about those roads too, is that the really technical ones are still quite low speed, they're just hilarious to chuck around!

We'll sort another one at some point.
