Wouldn't cost you much to go to an exhaust specialist and have the tip altered. Just a thought

PMS have offered to cut and re-polish to the length I would like, I just need to mark mark on the tip where I would like it cut.

Amazing company!

Just need to find a box and post back to them now! Very very happy with the service from PMS.

Looks good.
Where did you have the windscreen done? Mine needs doing and the current quote was £240.

National Windscreens (01773 581411) did it the day after calling, if i called them earlier they could have done it same day.

They quoted me £200 something for the screen, but I asked them to put on new surrounds too, that was another 20 something £. All in they charged me £231.84.

Happy with the job they did. But, the fitter mentioned that its pot luck on whether you get an experienced fitter or not, regardless of the company you choose, all companies seem to have shyite fitters working for them.

Doesn't looks that bad mate, more importantly how does it sound?

Its weird, my partner drives the car too, and from the outside, drive by, or parking up to the house, you dont really hear it. When driving, it seems a little loud on the inside, but when you wind the windows down, you realise how quiet it is. Although, the tip is touching the bumper slightly, so maybe thats having a big impact. Going to get that sorted soon, and report back.

If you are cruising in a high gear and low revs, its like there is no exhaust sound whats so ever, just tyre noise!
Driving along normally, i have the OEM stereo at volume number 5 and hear the music, conversation clearly.

Put your foot down and get into higher revs and it sounds good to me, more raspy than bassy, which i like :)

Sometimes exhausts make cars tiresome to drive, too loud, droning (drones a little bit sometimes) etc. But, so far its been very easy to live with.

Given that I've got the cat, silencer and back box, i was hoping for something quieter on traffic driving, but maybe the tip on the bumper is causing that.

Overall, i'm happy with it (bar sticking out too much) but from past experiance, I never stay happy with the sound for long!

I'll keep you posted :)

The war on the disgusting sticky interior has began!!

Saw a guide on here on how to get rid of sticky door pulls.

Gave it a go!

As soon as you poor boiling water on them, you can see the sticky stuff turn white! This was after a bit of scrubbing.

After 30 minutes of scrubbing and burning the crap out of my fingers from the boiling water, I gave up, and will carry on another day.

Got most of it off though!!

I've done this to all my sticky interior parts and can understand why you e given up for now. I ended up using cut up strips of store cards as scrapers but be careful you done scrape the metallic finish off as it's easy to do. I might respray mine at some point

Bloody hell!! Theres a life hack I could have done with knowing before deciding to burn the finger prints off my hands and clean my door pulls!!

Oh well, you live and you learn! :)
They look crap though as they are textured rather than smooth

Cheeky Friday wheel swap! :)

Could do with some spacers on the front (the stance on the back is almost perfect) and maybe lowering just a touch.

Because its a road car on OEM struts, i'm thinking of maybe fitting Eibach Pro's to keep it comfy on the crappy roads where I live!

In case anyone is wondering about weight
IMG_20190906_100602.jpg

Just under 2 stone / 12.7kg although its not a digital scale, so may not be 100% but gives us a rough guide.

2.5 stones / 15.9gk for the OEM wheel and tyre.

Does feel a tiny bit quicker to respond to steering and acceleration.

Strangely, with the spare set of wheels in the back of the car, it felt nicer to drive, less rattles in the car, and also felt more planted. I'm wondering if i move the battery to the boot if it will help to recreate this a little.

Think i'll look at springs first, then go from there.

Dont bother moving the battery tbh

Yeah, battery cant weight nearly enough to make it feel like it did with the wheels in the back. Shame, it felt heavy, but in a good way. Now i've taken the tyres out it again, it feels light, and strangely, a bit rattly. Hopefully some decent springs will sort it out.

From that angle there, it doesn't look like it needs any spacers. Just lowering.

The back are almost perfect, but the fronts could do with some spacers for sure. I'll take a closer pic of the front to show you what I mean. I'm thinking maybe 10mm on the front. Although, not sure if that will mess up drive since the backs are being touched. I'll have to search the forum to see feedback from others.

Aye get yourself some sportlines and brand new cup shocks, will transform the car

Wasnt planning on doing dampers, to save some money, the play/squeaking from the ball joint is really doing my head in!! Originally I was planning on living with it, but it really irritates me!
Might do the sportslines for now, so it doesnt look so high, then do the shocks later.
