So my air con / heater has stopped working

Not sure what it is.. was working one day then started playing up then just stopped all together. Have changed the fan resistor, checked fuses and wires all seem fine whats the next step from here? any help appreciated its cold having the window open to clear the windows... lol

Is the fan itself working? Mine started playing up a couple of months ago. Was intermittent then I could smell like a burning plastic smell so I stopped running it.
I sourced one from a local breakers. Dead easy to change. Post #6

Cheers for that man, will try sticking a new fan on it and hope it sorts it out.

By the sounds off it that's the same as what mines doing, If i leave the heat on long enough i start to smell something with a very small amount of air coming through.

It's a bit of a minefield trying to find the right fan. It seems there are quite a few different types for a mk2 Clio. Look on ebay and you'll see what I mean.
The one I got from a local breakers had the resistor built into the fan. They assured me it would work if I bypass / ignore the resistor and just plug it in as if it was the same as the old fan.
Its hard to explain. I wish I'd taken a picture of that part of the fan then you'd know what I mean.
Anyway the breaker was right, it works as it it should using the resistor that's separate from the fan.
