The bonnet which has come with my track car has had all the strengthening cut away but also the hinge fixings !

I did see somebody had fitted 4 aerocatches to get around this as i would expect this would be the safest option 😂

I see you can get quick release but they could give way possibly 🤔

Anyone else done something like this , i dont fancy getting another bonnet and getting it painted

I'm looking to do a removable bonnet, so having aero catch at the front x2 and then x2 of these Quik latch at the back. If you want quik latch (originals) then go through this website in France, they are the originals and the only seller in Europe is in France. I saved myself money by buying these over the demon tweeks ones. arrived in no time at all and very good product.

Yeah i was thinking about this , i know i couldnt rely on 4 of these but having 2 aerocatches would hopefully keep the front locked up 🤭

I can't remember the postage but with postage was still £30-£50 cheaper for 4 from France. I used these for a quick release front bumper. Have done track days and not had any issues but as you said the same as my thinking, I wouldn't want 4 on the bonnet but 2 at the back end of the bonnet and 2 aerocatches at the front would hold it down nice.

Yes i think i will do 2 rears with these and 2 aerocatches up front for sure as i dont want to buy another bonnet and paint. Possibly might fix the bumper the same way

Personally its all about ease of access. If you can whip the front end off at the track in a matter in minutes to work on anything is a plus. Also working in the garage with overhead lighting is a nightmare with the bonnet up

My inner skin has been cut away so would need them on the rear of bonnet and maybe aerocatches up front
That's how I was planning on doing the install. As long as the front it held secure then the backs are fine with qwik latches
