Kangoo Start up issues

Im off to look at a Mk2 2008 Renault Kangoo that needs a bit of work, im not too clued up on the diesels its an 85hp model if that makes a blind bit of difference.

Owner states it has a start up issue where it will Rev to 3k and clear once its warmed up.

Before I go and plug it into a code reader is there anything I should be looking for or something common that would be doing this?

I know Cliosport has a wealth of information and a few Kangoo and DCI owners on here so hoping that someone has some info!

Id personally avoid like the plague if you dont know your way round the k9k engine. Revving up on its own sounds like a recipe for a large bill

Thanks I walked away as the rest of it wasn’t as described off to see another one tomorrow, bit higher on the miles but seems like it’s been well maintained at least!
