What exhaust is this?

Can anyone tell me what exhaust this is from this sticker? The car is a 172 Cup and this exhaust has a right burble to it. There’s no way it’s an OE exhaust as my first new Cup back in the day sounded nothing like this.

It's just an ordinary pattern part standard replacement, generic Euro car parts special

It had a CAT fitted 4 years ago at a cost of £138.

Back box looks standard but this exhaust is definitely louder than standard.

I’m still thinking about changing this exhaust. I come home from work late at night and no doubt it will disturb some of my neighbours. I was focusing on it last night on the motorway and it was quite loud around 60mph. It does have a nice burble to it when you’re just moving away slowly, but after that I think people are looking at me thinking I’m some sort of boy racer. I’ve just taken a short video at work so that you can hear the noise from the exhaust at tick over. The car is warmed up and you can hear a little bit of a popping kind of noise, but I’ve no idea what that is. It’s not very loud but I’m just wondering if there is a problem with this exhaust given that it’s just a Klarius pattern exhaust. The CAT is none standard and as someone posted here the extra noise may be a combination of non-standard parts.

Would it be worth getting the same again but a new one? Or what do you recommend?

I reckon you are over thinking it and getting a bit paranoid, f**k what people think. The cheap aftermarket system may be louder than standard but I wouldn’t have thought by a great deal it may be restricting performance too.

You could get a PMS stealth or if Chris Pickering is doing the piper system get one of them but you still may not be happy with them.

I’m perfectly happy with my K-tec resonated stealth too, it’s one of the quieter aftermarket systems I’ve had on any of my cars. So if someone is getting rid of one of them it’ll be an upgrade to the system you have on it at the moment.

Yeah, the car still made 168bhp standard so power is not an issue. It is boomy on the M-way and I’m just wondering if there’s anything quieter that doesn’t lose the power.

Isn’t Chris the guy on FB who was doing the door stickers that never got done?

Yeah I believe so yeah.

Mines not too boomy, can have a conversation driving on the motorway and still hear each other.

Maybe the main issue is your centre section. I was watching an exhaust video on an Audi S4 and it was boomy as hell so they added J pipes to the centre section which eliminated any drone.

Other option and it’ll be pricy would be to get a custom system to your requirements.
