Slow to the party. Had an amazing weekend in the missus 172. 3rd year now going to anglesey for CSF. Hopefully there again next year. Definitely getting my x85 kswap finished for 2026. Thank you for a great event (even with some of the issues brought up).
Looking forward to the track pictures!

There’s one of yours here 👍

Heat stroke after 11 hours driving in the Sun with the roof down, felt rough as f**k and didn’t get to eat my pizza 😩 Really didn’t feel like having a proper drink after that strangely

😂😂😂 no mate… but it was me riding past the tents at 7am sorry haha tried to keep the revs down and coast past

Yeah great day cheers, until the bike s**t itself at lunch. Turns out the toys change, but the problems don’t 😅
I did see one on track sh!t itself going up to Rocket , pulled off as the marshall ran to the track to get it to stop, smoke pluming from the rear and going for the overtake..
great Marshalling , Gutted if that was your bike.

@chris blue my wife was having a good chinwag with your wife on the pit wall.

Good to see you out there yesterday enjoying yourself - she told us about the incident you had a few years back.

I may have told her a couple of times when red flagged that I think it’s the red 197….

Also saw your car today on the car park for plas newydd national trust. We also visited 👍

Just got home :)
Yes, thanks LEE and your other half for looking after my Mrs, she gets a bit nervy seeing me try to whizz round a track.

I had a bit of spin at Lydden Hill a few year back, and went out of sight, she threw up all over a Marshalls shoes who was standing next to her. I gave the thumbs up so all was fine- and then went around and and spun again. LOL. (Oil was found on track)

Think it was my roll and jump over the barriers at Brands just after Covid, she was telling you about.

Just got to add- Fabulous Cliofest day at Anglesey. Spoke to a fair few people, my Mrs was happy- cracking time. Couldnt do camping (Too old) so had a hotel centre of Anglesey. Missed the evening entertainment/ band.

Even won the Booby prize in raffle. LOL. Happy days. That Sunglasses Ron never ages does he? LOL

Fancied a chill Sunday round Plas Newydd, was lovely tbh.

Cant wait till next time :)

Happy days.

Hi all 👋
This was my first CSF taking my Meglio out on track and I didnt bin it so I would call that successful! 🤣
Hopefully see you all again next year! :)

Definitely a success I'd say. Lovely to finally meet you and your partner too - really good people and a credit to the club 🖤
Thank you for your contribution towards the charity hotlaps and glad to hear Rich enjoyed himself!

I have actually overlooked one aspect that I'd like to address. And bear with me on this one folks. 🙏

Thank you from the bottom of my withered welsh heart to everyone who took the time to speak to @Mr_wababobobob and welcomed him in to the club this weekend. More so to @DaveDreads @.Joe @Clio_fool @JP83 and @Diamond Performance.

Bob is a really good friend of mine, who hopefully won't mind me mentioning that he's highly autistic and normally has a hard time fitting in.

You all went absolutely above and beyond in making this weekend what it was for him. And for me, as it was really touching on a personal level to see him being accepted in to the fold. I normally have to look out for him like a little brother, but you took that responsibility off my shoulders and put me at ease.

Not only that, but none of you judged him at all and many of you allowed him to throw you around in my car.

@Sunglasses_Ron will no doubt attest that his talent behind the wheel is second to none. He is one of the best drivers I know, and is currently leading his championship. Which makes me incredibly proud, as I did the development driving for the car he's currently racing in.

I hear a handful of you had some coaching from him, and from what I've heard - he was impressed by the driving standards of everyone he went out with.
Though he did mention that @Tighten My Nuts could of done with a torque wrench 🤣

I'd love it, if you could all get behind him and show him some support - https://www.instagram.com/bobbytrundleyracing/

If there's anyone who has the funds, means or contacts that could sponsor/partner with a race driver, please get in touch with him.

(IF you know the motorsport world, us drivers want the money for ourselves. That's how much I believe in this lad. He deserves it more than I!)

He's the sweetest young lad you could ever meet and he always has time for other people.

In keeping with the Cliosportdotnet spirit - He came along this weekend at a moments notice, pitched up, chipped in and helped out 💛🖤

What a lad 👊

I was gutted. I was just getting g in to that last tune, rolling a joint and then it went silent. Could have cried, 😂
It wasn't sorry, I was back at my digs and asleep by then in preparation for the Snowdon slog!
How do we access the photos form ClioFest this year guys??

One last thing was their a photographer their that we. An buy photos at all or any photos of the blue MR2 please?
Coming soon, we will be selling them through the TurboRenault.co.uk shop with proceeds to the CSF charity. We do not keep ANY of the money.

I am just downloading the 8gb of images now.

I only had a brief opportunity to share a few words with Bobby and he is a smashing young man. He can certainly pedal a car and my only regret is that my dicky belly prevented me from passengering this year. I would have loved to jump in for a few laps.

His autism is his secret weapon, unbelievable levels of car control from that lad, he's a absolute machine!

He's also like an excitable little puppy, I love him to bits already and I've only known him for two days.

Thank you Andy honestly this ment the world to me, meeting amazing people and having a great time out on circuit! 💛🖤 and your kind words made me tear up!

I’ll definitely be back next year 100% maybe a bit more prepared and more aware of the bins in the camp site 🤦🏻😂

You guys are legends!

Ahhh no… mine just wouldn’t go past 10k 🤦‍♂️ even more annoying as geezers would fly past on the straight and then basically stop on corner entry 😅
Marshalling was decent all day for us tbh, I assume it was the same lads as you lot had 🤷‍♂️

Yes the staff at Anglesey are brilliant. Other track I've been to the marshals seem to have a bit of a god complex going on.

Was such a great weekend, wish I had been previous years. From the drive up through the mountains in the CSF convoy, to time on track and helping out pack up Saturday night(helped by copious amounts of beer @Sunglasses_Ron)

I have always been amazed by this forum and how it has continued over the years. The threads are always so relatable and interesting. How as many have got older cars have changed from Clios to BMW's and Porsche's but still the same passion for cars in general. There are still many Renaultsport owners on here though and this was evident on track.

This is the first time I have been able to take my youngest on a track day. He was so excited to be able to come out all day with me in the Megane. Anglesey did not disappointed either and the change of track layout in the afternoon was cool.

I was really impressed with the general track etiquette and the marshals. Driving around a race track with your son in the car certainly kerbs your speed a little. Coupled with the fact I needed to make sure the car would be fit for our 300+ mile journey home on the wheels/tyres fitted.

We managed around 180 miles on track throughout the day and the car was faultless. It did drink a fair amount of petrol! Nearly a full tank in the morning and not far off the same in the afternoon. Was worth every penny and I now have the track day bug again so it's gonna get expensive! The Megane is pretty much standard, but will now be extensively modified or sold for an already modified version.

It was great to speak with people and put faces to forum names, many who I have communicated with or sold parts to over the years. The dedication and planning that goes into the event is incredible. Thank you to those who organised the event.

If I could work out how to tag all those I met then I would, but not finding it that easy on my phone!! If it helps anyone with who I am I was in the white facelift Megane RS265.

Top weekend, awesome trackday and what a proper decent bunch of people you all are. I will definitely be going next year.
